PAK’nSAVE, New Zealand’s favourite discount supermarket chain required a packaging solution for their brand new meal kits. With a price point of $19.99 per meal kit, a budget-conscious, easy-to-assemble packaging solution was required.
Meal kits are an extremely competitive industry gaining in popularity, becoming a preferred meal solution for time-poor consumers. Their competitors are primarily delivery companies who have a huge online presence but no in-store or shelf presence. It was essential for PAK’nSAVE’s offering to stand out on the shelf to shoppers who are already familiar with the meal kit concept.
Sticking to PAK’nSAVE’s strong existing brand, Monster created a front and back design for a kraft brown paper bag meal kit. This solution is easily printed and assembled by staff at various locations across New Zealand.
A template design was created that can be easily implemented across various meal kits. This template was then transferred to the client to re-skin as required.
Monster also styled and photographed the images for this product line.
